Proper basement air flow is vital to the health and wellness, safety and security, and also convenience of a residence or business. Inappropriate ventilation can create:

  • Interior air contamination
  • Bronchial asthma and allergies
  • Mold and mildew as well as mold development
  • High humidity degrees
  • Frustrations
  • Nasal Irritability
  • Respiratory Problems

The air we breathe interior can be polluted by a variety of points. Amongst them are:

Airborne germs and viruses which can cause many ailments as well as infections. Germs as well as viruses remain to reproduce and also flourish in damp, damp and also stagnant atmospheres.

Toxic Chemicals that become vapors from paint, home cleaners as well as solvents, glues and adhesives found in any type of variety of things in the house or business, aerosols, paint, pesticides, as well as chemicals used in some carpets and furniture fabrics.

Irritants including pet dander, allergen, and pollen.

It’s the water you cannot see that can ruin your structure! Pitch or tar made use of to water resistant outside wall surfaces at the time of original building often deteriorate in as low as 3 to 5 years leaving the walls unprotected against the significant hydrostatic stress of a high water table, below ground streams or veins.

An extra of water around grounds may undermine them triggering harmful negotiation of the foundation.

Concrete is made mainly of sand. Envision just what will happen to a block of sand in a swimming pool of water. The disintegration of concrete takes place similarly, gradually with the structure gradually softening, after that deteriorating until it paves the way, bringing water right into the cellar or even worse. This disintegration could happen in block structures even quicker since they are usually hollow to start with.

This was the second visit by Vulcan – the service technicians were very professional and did an amazing job – reviewed the project with me and explained what they were going to do and why they needed to do it – then they started right in and did the work. I would highly recommend this crew to anyone looking to get a water issue resolved in their basement.

Great service, very knowledgable staff and hard working crew! Install went well: 160 linear feet of underdrain pipe and crushed stone with 2 sump pits (one pit with 1 pump and the other upper pit with 2 pumps). Pumps run fine when needed. We now have a dry finished basement with peace of mind. Thanks Vulcan, great job!

Our basement flooded several times and had water level of up to 4 feet in one corner of the house. Vulcan assessed the situation and added french drains and new sump pump. They were very professional and not too costly. We haven’t had any issues since, this was in early 2000s.
