Appropriate basement air flow is vital to the health and wellness, safety and security, as well as comfort of a home or company. Improper ventilation can trigger:

  • Interior air pollution
  • Bronchial asthma as well as allergic reactions
  • Mold and mildew and also mold development
  • High humidity degrees
  • Frustrations
  • Nasal Inflammation
  • Respiratory system Problems

The air we breathe indoor can be infected by a number of things. Among them are:

Airborne microorganisms and viruses which could cause lots of disorders as well as infections. Microorganisms as well as infections continuously breed and flourish in damp, wet and stale atmospheres.

Poisonous Chemicals that come to be vapors from paint, house cleaners and solvents, glues and also adhesives found in any type of variety of products in the house or company, aerosols, paint, chemicals, and also chemicals utilized in some carpeting and also upholstery textiles.

Irritants including family pet dander, dust mites, as well as pollen.

It’s the water you can not see that can damage your structure! Pitch or tar used to waterproof outside walls at the time of initial building and construction usually deteriorate in as little as 3 to 5 years leaving the walls unprotected versus the incredible hydrostatic stress of a high water table, underground streams or capillaries.

An excess of water around grounds may undermine them causing destructive settlement of the structure.

Concrete is made mainly of sand. Picture exactly what will certainly take place to a block of sand in a pool of water. The disintegration of concrete occurs similarly, gradually with the foundation slowly softening, after that deteriorating until it gives way, bringing water into the basement or worse. This disintegration can happen in block foundations even quicker since they are usually hollow to start with.

This was the second visit by Vulcan – the service technicians were very professional and did an amazing job – reviewed the project with me and explained what they were going to do and why they needed to do it – then they started right in and did the work. I would highly recommend this crew to anyone looking to get a water issue resolved in their basement.

Great service, very knowledgable staff and hard working crew! Install went well: 160 linear feet of underdrain pipe and crushed stone with 2 sump pits (one pit with 1 pump and the other upper pit with 2 pumps). Pumps run fine when needed. We now have a dry finished basement with peace of mind. Thanks Vulcan, great job!

Our basement flooded several times and had water level of up to 4 feet in one corner of the house. Vulcan assessed the situation and added french drains and new sump pump. They were very professional and not too costly. We haven’t had any issues since, this was in early 2000s.
